jermaine johnson epitomises the owls' fortunes of late as he falls during wednesday's game against wba

sheffield wednesday were swept aside by championship contenders, west bromich albion, 4-0 overnight to send the owls closer to the relegation zone. former owl, chris brunt, sealed the win with his late goal, leaving the blue and whites winless in six games. wednesday have only two draws to their credit during that stretch and were never in the hunt as the baggies ran rampant.

two goals to simon cox before the half hour and one before half time essentially made this a no-contest. as always, lee grant kept the home team in it, making save after save and while not winning the game for his team, he certainly stopped it from becoming a double-digit rout. btw i do believe lee grant is now my favourite wednesday player.

wednesday see their decline down the ladder reach a season-low at 19th.
