sheffield wednesday scored two late first half goals to secure a 2-1 win over charlton athletic at the valley overnight. coming from a goal down, wade small and marcus tudgay each scored a goal that sent the visitors to the top ten on the table. small made a fine run from half way in wednesday’s first real attack of the game, before cutting in on the left and slicing one past charlton keeper keeper, nicky weaver. three minutes later, tudgay pounced on some sleepy charlton defense and put on in from the edge of the box. the win sends the owls up to nineth, on 12 points; remarkably with a -3 goal difference thanks to the 6-0 hammering they copped last week in their last away match at reading.
