this guy is awesome. the neck rolls and heel flicks are just special.
sheffield wednesday scrambled out of the relegation zone with a hard-fought 3-1 win at leceister overnight. in a game that saw both sides miss penalties, a couple of second half goals killed off the game, sending scores of home supporters straight for the gates before the game was over.
the three points moves the owls up to 20th, leapfrogging southampton and leceister. southampton play 3rd-placed hull tomorrow. a win by hull would see wednesday conceivably needing just a draw against norwich in their final game next week to clinch a safety position on the table. it’s going to be a rough week if they don’t do it…
a little bit of sleuthing from a couple of girls in the class found the culprit to yesterday’s dilemma. the kid who took the bag, of course, proclaimed their innocence, but it’s hard to be believed when you leave incriminating keychains and stickers on it. dumbass… but all’s well that ends well, i guess. </end>
some lowlife shit stole a bag from the bag racks this afternoon. the owner of the bag saw it at second break and when they went back to get it at the end of the day, it was gone. the contents were found strewn in a garden around the corner. what punk would do this kind of thing to a kid? another kid? who knows…
inyoung and i went to check out the new will ferrell movie, semi-pro, yesterday. apart from the loody expensive tickets and stuff, the movie itself wasn’t too bad. there were a few laughs but nothing side-splitting. i’ve seen most of his movies now and talledega nights is, by far, my favourite. best semi-pro quote: “why can’t everyone just love everyone? oh and by the way, if you see a possum running around, could you kill it? it’s not a pet…” mildly amusing.
sheffield wednesday have dropped back into the relegation zone and have limited opportunities to get out after a 2-1 defeat against blackpool overnight. the owls have problems conceding early goals and it happened again in this game. having a player sent off in the beginning of the second half doesn’t help either.
we have two games left this season, away to leceister next week, followed by a home game versus norwich. we need to get points from both games to ensure safety.
the hockey season effectively finished yesterday after the ottawa senators were dumped out of the playoffs by the upstart pittsburgh penguins. while i’m sure there are other games going on, my interest has significantly waned over the last 12 hours. sure i’ll keep one eye on the boxscores, but it doesn’t really matter.
on a side note, one thing i really like about hockey is that you can get some really cool photos… and here are some:

while making resources for school, i stumbled upon a very neat site that only a few million other people know about. for some reason, i didn’t have a clipart cd with the new office that i got (well, inyoung got). so while i was searching for a place with free clipart, i found ms’ official clipart site. it’s pretty sweet. i found a crap load of stuff, both useful and superfluous. all for free! sweet…
in the evidence section, i’ve added an album of wallpapers. i’ve sort of become addicted to them. i’ve used a good chunk of them over the last few eeks, but, i still come back to the old c.o.b.r.a. logo. ah the memories…
